Leadership Experience
Hipkat Consulting is founded by David Katzoff, who has worked in regulated content management for more than 35 years. His career began before terms like “content management” or “digital transformation” existed. In the early 1990s, he supported life sciences organizations managing engineering drawings and controlled documents using early workflow and repository systems including AutoEDMS and CYCO AutoManager Workflow.
As the industry matured, David transitioned into broader enterprise content management roles. He worked with systems integrators such as Capgemini and Altro Solutions (later acquired by Burntsand), supporting Documentum programs and progressing from developer to project director on regulated content management implementations.
In 2003, David co-founded Valiance Partners, which became recognized as a leader in regulated migration for life sciences. Over two decades, he has led migrations across Documentum, FirstDoc, TrackWise, Argus Safety, and numerous legacy and custom-built systems. In addition, he pioneered the 100% automated verification approach which reduced overall timeline and enabled customers to confidently demonstrate migration accuracy during regulatory audits.
With the introduction of Veeva, Valiance became one of its earliest partners. David supported some of the first migrations into Veeva across Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Safety domains and completed Veeva Platform Certification to deepen his understanding of the platform’s operating model.
Today, Hipkat Consulting combines this experience to help emerging life sciences organizations begin using Veeva Basics with structure and support, and to provide strategy and oversight for migration teams and Veeva implementation partners.
